This course covers Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) Technician Certification only.

The Contractors Association of West Virginia (CAWV) is pleased to offer its annual Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) Technician Certification Training to help individuals prepare for the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) certification examinations required under the agency's Quality Assurance Program. Thousands of construction professionals have completed CAWV certification courses over the years.
Course Dates
March 1–5, 2027
Testing
The written certification examination will be administered on Friday, March 5, 2027.
Exam Registration: 7:30–8:00 a.m.
Written Examination: 8:00–11:00 a.m.
Makeup Examination: 1:00 p.m.

Registration Information
Course registration will take place on Monday, March 1, 2027, from 9:00–9:15 a.m.
Participants taking the written certification examination must be seated and ready to register at least 30 minutes before the scheduled test time.
The registration fee includes:
- Course instruction
- Training manuals and handouts
- Workshop materials
- Continental breakfast and lunch each training day
- Continental breakfast on the testing day
- Break refreshments
What to Bring
Participants must bring a laptop, iPad or similar tablet device for testing. Participants must also have access to the 2023 WVDOH Standard Specifications during the course and testing. Printed copies are acceptable, or the specifications may be downloaded to the testing device before arriving for class.
Participants are also encouraged to bring:
- WVDOH Construction Manual
- Applicable ASTM and/or AASHTO Standards
- Calculator
- Pencils
- Notepaper
- Straightedge
- Highlighters

Lodging Accommodations
Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. Accommodations are available throughout the Charleston area. The Country Inn & Suites – Kanawha City is the closest hotel to the WVDOH Materials Division. Hotel Reservations: (304) 925-4300 Early reservations are recommended. |

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received at least three business days prior to the course start date to receive a full refund.

Fees/Admission
CAWV Members: $345 per person
Non-Members: $445 per person.
Registration includes course instruction, training materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, and break refreshments. Lodging is not included.
